About The Buying Club

Hello Villagers,

First, let me introduce myself. I’m Scott A. Lepper, creator of our Villagers’ Buying Club. I’m an authentic BMX’n subdivision paperboy from Springfield, Illinois, turned Villages’ entrepreneur.  Between Springfield and The Villages, I lived a remarkable 16-year stretch of life as a manufacturers rep throughout Virginia before moving to The Villages® in June of 2017. I’m a southside villager, living the dream in The Village of St. Johns. Now let’s talk about The Buying Club!

The Buying Club offers Villagers a better option to buy things for their homes and lifestyles. A buying experience as unique as our community. A buying experience tailored to our community. A buying experience that taps into the superior human assets of our community. A community hub, The Villagers’ Buying Club!

The Buying Club philosophy is simple: Beat all online, big box store, and other dealer pricing! Offer installation and service by community-based, professional, and accomplished installers – The Buying Club Installation and Service Team.

I’ve worked extremely hard creating our Villagers’ Buying Club, and I have two paramount requests of our members.

  1. To keep club prices as low as possible, we need to be efficient and effective with our overhead costs. Please be diligent and committed when ordering to mitigate foreseen costly returns. Please do not order with an intended option of “I’ll just ship it back.” If you’re not sure a Blaze grill or Dimplex fireplace will fit in a space, get The Buying Club Team involved before you place your order and we’ll come out, measure twice, talk to you about options, and help you get it right the first time.
  2. I’m not a fan of the negative attacking rants by villagers against the businesses and their employees who contribute to our community. If you’re an online rantor, it’s best that we break-up now. I ask that you forgo a membership in Villagers Buying Club. For our members who do need to be heard or have a great idea for the Buying Club, here is our email address. support@TheClubRocks.com.

Who Can Join The Club?

How Does The Club Work?

Step 1: Join The Club by registering through our website! To identify yourself as a qualified Villager you will need to include photo documentation such as your Villages ID, drivers license, or home purchase deed. 

Step 2: Click on our manufacturers’ logos. Find what you want. Get brand, part number, model number, color, etc.

Step 3: Click back to The Buying Club website and click on “Request a Quote” and follow the prompts. It’s that simple!

Include the following information:

  • Your name, email, and phone number. (We may need to contact you for clarification)
  • Brand Name, Model Number, Color, Quantity, etc.
  • Installation address.
  • Who’s installing it?
    • (1) I’m a DIYer and I’ll install it myself;
    • (2) I have my own contractor/handyman;
    • (3) I’d like to use The Club installation services.

Who Can Join The Club Installation and Service Team?

We are building our elite installation and service team. Accomplished contractors and handymen with excellent portfolios and references are invited to contact us to discuss business. To keep Club overhead costs low, we only hire part-time and per-project, which offers retired villagers the flexibility to work when you want, travel when you want, and relax when you want.

Club Membership Choices

Membership is free to those who qualify.

Step 1: Join The Club!

Step 2: Click on our manufacturers’ logos. Find what you want. Get brand, part number, model number, color, etc.

Step 3: Click back to The Buying Club website and click on “Request a Quote” and follow the prompts. It’s that simple!

Include the following information:

  • Your name, email, and phone number. (We may need to contact you for clarification)
  • Brand Name, Model Number, Color, Quantity, etc.
  • Installation address.
  • Who’s installing it?
    • (1) I’m a DIYer and I’ll install it myself;

Pricing

The Club strives to sell at the lowest price in the marketplace. We have different pricing structures with our many different manufacturers.  While we’re able to sell well below competitors on certain brands, pricing is strictly controlled by the manufacturer of other brands, leaving The Club less flexibility with a small number of brands. We’ll do our best!

Why don’t we show Club pricing on the website? Great question! We currently have over 50 manufactures, with many more coming, who collectively have thousands of part numbers with always changing prices. It’s literally impossible to manage the task on our website. For pricing click on “Request a Quote”.

Save Another 2% with ACH Payment

To be successful in offering our members the lowest prices in the marketplace, we are continuously striving to keep overhead costs down. If you wish to save another 2%, please let us know and we’ll adjust your invoice and remove the credit card payment option.

Price Beat & Price Match

The Club always strives to price in the best interest of our members. Most of the time we’ll beat competitive pricing, but not always. There are online dealers who offer discount codes and loss leader pricing to meet there marketing agendas. In situations like this, where their price is less, but close, we’ll do our best to price match and include our premium community-based support. In other situations a competitor simply has a better purchasing contract than The Club, and unfortunately we will be unable to price-beat or price-match. However, our quote always includes our premium community-based support, which they can’t match! In those situations, here is an important question to ask yourself. How much do you value premium community-based support over saving a few dollars up front?

Shipping

All shipping costs accrued by The Club will be assigned to the member’s invoice. On the same token, all free shipping obtained by The Club will be passed on to the member.

Sales Tax

Appropriate sales tax will be included with purchases.

Tax-exempt

A tax-exempt organization may purchase tax-free. See Terms and Conditions section VI,E.

Club Rules

  • No purchasing for non-members.
  • No purchasing for resale (except for pre-approved tax-exempt businesses with a Florida resale certificate.)
  • No excessive returns.

If you are not satisfied with the merchandise you purchased from The Buying Club, we will replace it or provide a refund in most cases. Some manufacturers and products have different policies, requirements, and restrictions associated with them.
